It was definitely time, to replace my old salt based system, I was buying a bag of potassium chloride once a week just to keep it working and that was getting expensive.  My wife went to a local plumbing supply house to find a new system.  The system they quoted her was over 4,000 dollars not including installation.  Through some internet research I was able to find Sierra Water Solutions who sold a “similar” product. Steve explained the difference between his systems and theirs and I came to the conclusion that if I purchased through Sierra Water Solutions I would be getting a better system.  I was able to get a new system installed for less than just the other system would have cost me to purchase.  My wife loves the new water especially in the shower and we are very happy with our decision.
